You are welcome to schedule an initial CFT visit at any time. Visits will take place at your home.
We utilize a gentle, pain-free approach to releasing fascial strain in the body. We ask that during these times of manual bodywork that you’re quiet, relaxed, and free of distraction. We encourage parents to participate in comforting their loved ones, when and if needed. If during the visit, your loved one seeks your love and comfort, we will gladly encourage this. We care for the bond and nurturing of your loved one, regardless of our practice.
Additional information — Intake paperwork will be sent to you through our Peakside portal. Visits have a flat rate of $150/visit for 60 minutes of bodywork. Please connect with us if you have any questions about this flat rate.
Reach out to us about a consultation or book online for an evaluation if you’re already interested in occupational therapy services with Peakside Pioneers.
If you’re interested in a consultation to determine whether an evaluation is warranted, reach out to us directly. We will schedule a time to learn more about your needs, your story, and any additional information you would like to share with us. This step in the process is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Once we agree to schedule an evaluation, we will complete the intake paperwork and undergo this next step together.
Intake Evaluations
The intake paperwork consists of various new client forms. This packet will be shared with you once payment is rendered. We appreciate that all intake paperwork is completed before the start of your scheduled visit so that we can spend our allotted time learning about your child’s needs.
Our evaluation process consists of completing an occupational profile to learn more about your child, family, and daily routines. We will ask to observe the area of concern. So, if it is related to head shape, muscle tension, torticollis, or other motor delays, then we will request to see your little one move & grove and demonstrate their current abilities. If the concern is feeding-related, then we will ask to observe a feeding experience. Afterward, we will develop a care plan with a few goals to target, answer any questions, and schedule our first visit.
Ongoing Services
Sessions will take place within a natural environment, including homes, parks, or other community settings. Please note, that if feeding is your main area of focus, we like to request ongoing visits to occur during a typical mealtime to ensure your little one is hungry.
Regular attendance, honest and open communication, and ongoing participation are required to see your little one grow to his or her highest potential. Learning new skills takes thousands of repetitions and we recognize that parents are pivotal players in child development. Parent training is at the core of your little one’s development and will be integrated into all visits.
Developmental consultations are similar to wellness visits. These visits are tailored to parents who want to learn a few tips and tricks to expand their child’s development. These visits are for little ones without a medical diagnosis and/or for children who are not demonstrating a moderate to significant delay in development. These visits often focus on collaboration vs direct hands-on intervention.
If you have questions, reach out. We will help you understand this difference case-by-case. Every situation is unique and services will be tailored to your child and family needs. Upon evaluation, recommendations will be made based on how your little one is presenting and the skills he or she currently is demonstrating.

A referral is NOT needed to complete a consultation, an evaluation, or wellness visits; however, a referral may need to be requested for intensive visits or routine visits for medical conditions. Peakside will inform you about this need during your evaluation of whether or not a referral will be needed. You will be guided on how to obtain a signed prescription from your pediatrician or referring provider before visits begin.
A referral can come from:
a) a physician licensed by a state board of medical examiners
b) a dentist licensed by a state board of dental examiners
c) a chiropractor licensed by a state board of chiropractic examiners
d) a podiatrist licensed by a state board of podiatric medical examiners
e) another qualified, licensed health care professional who is authorized to refer for health care services within the scope of the professional’s license
We are a private practice that is an out-of-network clinic. On an as-needed basis, we can work with families to create a SuperBill for some insurance policyholders to submit a claim after sessions are completed. Our services do qualify as medical expenses covered by flexible savings accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs). Additionally, you have the right to receive a good faith estimate of services before services start.
Our clinical experience taught us that private insurance limits all we can do for you despite identifying a need for services. We don’t want to feel like we have to turn you away or say “you don’t qualify” based on insurance policies. We want to create unique care plans for you without worrying about third-party payers. This truly allows us to work within the depths of our scopes of practice and tailor our support for you!
We will send you all the necessary paperwork upon confirmation of your scheduled evaluation. It is truly helpful for this paperwork to be completed before the day of the evaluation.
Upon completion of the first evaluation, your little one’s information will be available on our Peakside portal. Upcoming visits can be found on this portal as well.
